The Chatterbox framework gives children a structured way to build public speaking and communication skills. It is not just a set of speeches. It is a guided journey of thinking, expression, body language and feedback.
Weeks 1-3: Comfort and participation
Children begin with warm-up speaking games, introductions, short responses and confidence-building activities. The first goal is simple: make speaking feel safe.
Weeks 4-6: Structure and clarity
Students learn how to organise thoughts into a beginning, middle and end. They practise storytelling, idea sequencing and speaking with clearer purpose.
Weeks 7-9: Voice, body language and presence
Children explore pace, pause, expression, eye contact and posture. They begin to understand that communication is not only what we say, but how we carry the message.
Weeks 10-12: Performance and reflection
The final phase brings together prepared speaking, impromptu challenges, feedback and reflection so children can see their own progress.
Structured practice creates visible confidence
Chapter Zero uses this kind of guided practice to help children grow steadily and joyfully.
